Dr. Bhoomika T.M. Secures 1st Place at National Congress of Periodontology

The Department of Periodontics is thrilled to announce that Dr. Bhoomika T.M., a final-year (3rd Year) MDS postgraduate student, has achieved 1st Place in the Paper Presentation Category at the 1st National Congress of Periodontology. The landmark national event was held at M.S. Ramaiah Dental College, Bangalore, from June 26–27, 2026. Dr. Bhoomika secured the top honors during Session 2 of the scientific deliberations, competing against peer researchers from across the nation. Pioneering Research in Implantology & Bone Healing Dr. Bhoomika’s award-winning paper presentation showcased her clinical trial titled: "Combined Vitamin D and Vitamin K Supplementation Enhances Osteocalcin Expression and Reduced Crestal Bone Loss During Early Osseointegration: A Precision-Based Interventional Study."


Dr. Roopashree Secures 3rd Prize at the 1st National Congress of Periodontology

The Department of Periodontics is proud to announce that Dr. Roopashree, a second-year MDS postgraduate student, has won the 3rd Prize in the Poster Presentation Category at the prestigious 1st National Congress of Periodontology. The inaugural national event was hosted at M.S. Ramaiah Dental College, Bangalore, from June 26–27, 2026, bringing together top clinicians, academicians, and researchers from across the country. Driving Patient Comfort in Periodontal Therapy Dr. Roopashree’s award-winning presentation was titled: "Scaling Made Gentle: Preventing Sensitivity with Air and Ultrasonic Using Desensitizing Agents."


Academic Achievement

Dr. Bhoomika T.M., 3rd-year MDS (Periodontics), has been awarded the First Prize in the Original Research category for her paper presentation titled “Mastication and Mind – Periodontal Tooth Loss as a Modifiable Risk Factor for Subjective Cognitive Decline.” This achievement highlights her contribution to advancing research that explores the interrelationship between periodontal health and cognitive function. The institution congratulates Dr. Bhoomika T.M. on this commendable accomplishment and wishes her continued success in her academic and professional pursuits.


Dr Namratha SV 3rd year MDS Periodontics won the best paper award

We are delighted to announce that our Postgraduate student from the Department of Periodontics, Dr. Namratha S. V., has been awarded the Best Paper Award for her research paper titled: “The Oral–Brain Axis: A Questionnaire-Based Investigation into Periodontitis and Cognitive Decline.” This achievement was recognized at the 3rd International Conference on Aging and Cognition, conducted by Jain University in collaboration with NIMHANS, held on 2nd and 3rd February 2026. We congratulate Dr. Namratha S. V. for this remarkable accomplishment and wish her continued success in her academic and professional endeavors


FIRST prize in Paper presentation

Dr. Varada M Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology. At the 36th National Conference of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology, held in Navi Mumbai, she was awarded the FIRST prize for her paper presentation on the topic: Cognition, perception, and adoption of Cone Beam Computed Tomography among Endodontists - A questionnaire study.

2nd place in the Poster Presentation at the Pedodontics Conference
