On 2nd June 2025, the Department of Psychiatric Social Work, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, conducted a Gatekeeper Training Programme at the BIDS Campus, focusing on suicide prevention and mental health promotion.

The session was attended by final-year students with the objective of orienting them on the significance of mental health, early identification of individuals at risk, suicide prevention strategies, and basic intervention skills. The programme included lectures, interactive discussions, and awareness-building activities, which helped participants gain valuable insights into this critical subject.
