INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY REPORT-2025

International Yoga Day,
officially observed on June 21, was celebrated at our institution on June 25, 2025.
The event was organized exclusively for 1st year BDS students to introduce them
to the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being—an
essential foundation for a balanced academic and personal life and implementing
the theme of “ Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The session was led by Dr.
Suchitra, Reader, Department of Prosthodontics, a certified yoga
instructor, who guided the participants through various asanas, breathing
techniques, and mindfulness practices. Her session was both informative and
rejuvenating, emphasizing the holistic benefits of yoga for physical and mental
health.
The event was
inaugurated by our respected Principal, Dr. Vinaya, who addressed the students
and spoke about the need for incorporating holistic wellness practices in their
lives. The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Chaithra,
Professor & Head of the Department of Public Health Dentistry. In her
address, she emphasized the role of yoga in stress management and preventive
health, particularly relevant for budding dental professionals.
The event was further
supported by the presence of Dr. Keerthiprasad, Dr. Ramesh, Dr. Dev, Dr. Bhumika
and PG students, who motivated the students through their active involvement.
The enthusiastic participation of the 1st year BDS students made this event a grand success. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks and light refreshments, leaving the students energized and inspired.International Yoga Day-2025
