World Environment Day was celebrated by the interns and faculty from the NSS unit-Department of public health dentistry of Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital on 2nd July 2023 at Lalbagh botanical garden. The theme for World Environment Day for 2023 is “Solutions to plastic pollution”

The programme began at Lal Bagh West Gate no:-4 at 7:00 am where a skit was performed by interns along with a strong message for the public towards the harmful effects of pollution as well as the advantages of controlling pollution along with various ways how pollution can be controlled and every member of the family can contribute towards the same. Waste disposal and segregation methods were enacted and awareness was created towards reduce, reuse and recycle. The programme ended with a round-off applaud by the public gathered at Lal Bagh
